Position Summary

West Kelowna family looking for an education assistant or community support worker who can provide casual support for 13-year-old non-verbal autistic daughter.Key Responsibilities
  • This role is NOT that of a Behavior Consultant; it is more a caregiving/companionship role.
  • Following an informal Behavioral Plan which includes her likes/ dislikes and her routine.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising consultant and family members.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
    • Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in education assistant, behaviour intervention, community support work, or related field preferred.
  • Experience working with children or youth with developmental or behavioural needs is an asset.
  • Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
