CHIEF MECHANIC

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall in charge of the company's motor pool, including light and heavy equipment, tools, and their deployment
• Ensure all company vehicles, equipment, and tools are properly monitored and well-maintained
• Schedule and monitor preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance
• Oversee and perform actual repairs of vehicles, equipment, and tools (on-site or at company premises)
• Monitor daily vehicle travel and truck usage (gas, diesel, and oil consumption)
• Process materials/parts requisition slips
• Canvass and purchase materials and parts when necessary
• Coordinate with repair shops, parts suppliers, and service providers
• Perform mechanical and electrical work including tune-ups, engine overhauls, clutch and brake repairs/replacements
• Maintain shop records and prepare reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
