Automotive Fabrication Technician

Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Automotive Fabrication Technician to support unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles that have been in accidents.
+ Fabricate body parts and brackets out of aluminum and steel.
+ Work with the body/paint technician to bring the vehicle to like new condition.
+ Assist management in estimating damages and writing the accident quote.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
+ 3 years in welding/fabrication in the fabrication and body welding or automotive/truck repair business
+ Proficient in aluminum and steel sheet and structural welding.
+ Ability to use a plasma cutter and acetylene/oxygen torches.
