Job Description

Position Purpose
This role drives strategic pricing decisions that accelerate patient access to Pfizer’s products and safeguard business value, while shaping pro-innovation pricing frameworks with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) and industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute National Health Insurance pricing strategies for new drugs, prepare dossiers, and lead negotiations with MHLW.
Build strong alignment and partnership among cross-functional teams including global teams to ensure optimal price setting
Develop price assumptions and scenario plans for pipeline/inline assets, and BD opportunities with monitoring competitor pricing, policy changes, and market trends.
Actively participate in trade association activities to establish a pro-innovative pricing framework.
Coach and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and a speak-up culture.
