Job Description
Join Babcock Canada as a Subcontracts Manager in Victoria, BC or Ottawa, ON for an 18-month temporary position focusing on the marine industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage subcontracting processes.
With 4-8 years of experience, you will drive efficiencies in procurement and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all contractual obligations and compliance are met. Key skills include negotiation, supplier management, and technical familiarity. Your leadership will be vital in troubleshooting and optimizing supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee sourcing and negotiation of marine subcontracts
• Work with Project Managers to create detailed SOWs
• Analyze supplier performance and execute risk management
• Lead Subcontractor meetings to enhance communication
• Support compliance with Health & Safety policies
Requirements:
• 4-8 years of relevant engineering experience
• Degree in Commerce, Engineering or a related field
