About the Role
Fusion Labs is looking for a backend developer to help build and scale modern products that solve real-world problems across Africa, starting with a fintech product currently in development. You'll collaborate closely with the founder and work in a fast-paced, product-focused environment using a modern TypeScript-based stack.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain GraphQL APIs with Apollo Server
Model and manage data using Prisma ORM and PostgreSQL
Implement background processing using Redis and BullMQ
Collaborate on architecture decisions and scalability strategies
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable TypeScript code
Integrate with third-party APIs (e.g., payments, notifications)
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards
