Backend Engineer (URGENT)*

This will be a 1-year renewable contract based in One North.

Responsibilities

• Owner of the deployment lifecycle.
• Configure and maintain AWS resources (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3)
• Manage deployment pipelines.
• Support design of microservices and event-driven architectures to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
• Champion system health with the implementation of monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (leveraging on CloudWatch, Datadog, or Prometheus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development experience.
• Expert in Python with deep understanding of Python internals, threading, multiprocessing, and async patterns.
• Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem, deploying and debugging applications in a cloud environment.
