Backend Engineer - Ruby

A web hosting company is looking for a Backend Engineer who specializes in Ruby.

They have teams sitting in Cape Town (head office), and Johannesburg, as well as Canada and Ukraine.

As a Backend Engineer, you will be tasked with providing a world-class API layer between the customer and their hosting services. In addition, you will be responsible for building and maintaining secure, consistent, and reliable infrastructure and services that enable their customers to manage their hosting services in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Requirements:

• Backend and API software design & development
• Ruby (language currently in use)
• Database design and architecture
• 3+ years experience
