Backhoe Operator

Job Description

• Operate backhoe for excavation, trenching, backfilling, and loading.
• Perform digging for utilities, drainage, roadworks, and foundations.
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions.
• Conduct daily equipment inspection and basic preventive maintenance.
• Observe DOLE and company safety regulations.
• Coordinate with foreman, engineers, and ground crew.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of equipment.
• Report mechanical issues and site hazards immediately.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or vocational course (TESDA training preferred).
• NC II in Heavy Equipment Operation (Backhoe) from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (preferred/required by employer).
• Valid Driver's License.
• At least 3–5 years relevant experience.
