JOB SUMMARY:
The Barn Technician is primarily responsible for collecting swine semen from boars within a controlled barn environment, ensuring proper handling, sanitation, and hygiene throughout the procedure. The role includes preparing boars for collection, operating collection equipment, and strictly following biosecurity and animal welfare protocols. The technician will coordinate closely with the laboratory team to provide high-quality semen samples for analysis and preservation, contributing to the efficiency of the breeding program and achievement of genetic goals.
