Job Description
Avalon Centre is seeking two passionate volunteers for our board. Lend your expertise to help end sexualized violence and support community empowerment.
The Avalon Sexual Assault Centre is in search of individuals who align with our feminist and intersectional mission. We prioritize candidates with backgrounds in finance, governance, legal, or human resources. Lived experiences and connections to Indigenous or African Nova Scotian communities will strongly enhance our board’s diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend four virtual meetings per year
• Serve on a committee relevant to governance
• Participate in orientation and professional development
• Contribute an average of 36-40 hours annually
• Foster inclusive representation across the board
Requirements:
• Must reside in Nova Scotia
• Experience in finance, governance, or law preferred
