Overview

The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) has a vacancy for Before and After School Support (B.A.S.S.) long-term occasional employees. This role supports play‑based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6 registered in WRDSB's Before and After school program and provides general student supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow the guidance of the DECE operating the extended day classroom.
• Support positive and responsive interactions among children, parents, childcare providers and staff.
• Encourage children to interact, communicate in a positive way and support their ability to self‑regulate.
• Support the children’s exploration, play and inquiry.
• Support child‑initiated and adult‑supported experiences.
