Responding to referrals from schools regarding students with potential additional support needs

Conduct observations of students when requested

Working closely with the students support networks (schools, parents, caregivers etc...) to define and implement strategies to enable the development of the student

Deliver training to schools focussed on managing a variety of SEN needs in the classroom

Documenting the work carried out and updating relevant stakeholders both within schools, families and local education authorities

Ensuring that the student’s interests and needs are considered at all stages during this process

Ideally holds HLTA status with a particular interest in SEMH

Could have a track record as a deputy or lead SENCO
