The Utility-Scale BESS Operations & Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) assets. The role oversees day-to-day plant operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, contractors, and performance optimization to ensure high availability, compliance with regulations, and delivery of revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
Lead daily operation of utility-scale BESS facilities, ensuring safety, grid-code compliance, and high system availability.
Plan, execute, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for batteries, inverters, transformers, HVAC, fire suppression, and balance-of-plant equipment.
Monitor performance via SCADA/EMS, track KPIs (availability, response time, efficiency), and implement improvement actions.
