Billing Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:Billing Operations: Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients.Verify patient info, insurance coverage, and medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
Insurance Coordination: Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, investigate claim rejections, and resubmit or appeal claims as needed.Payment Posting & Reconciliation: Post payments, reconcile accounts, and assist in month-end activities.Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate billing records, generate reports, and ensure proper documentation.Compliance: Ensure billing complies with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and stay current with coding and payer requirements.
**Qualifications**:Education & Experience: High school diploma required; Associate's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience.Skills: Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), attention to detail, proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Kareo)...
