Biology Research Mentor for AI Evaluation (Remote, 3mo)

Position: STEM - Biology Expert (Task Based)

Type: Short-Term Contract (3 months)

Location: Remote

Commitment: At least 4 hours per day and up to 40 hours per week with 4 hours overlap with PST

Role Responsibilities

• Design and solve challenging Biology problems to probe the limitations of large language models
• Develop high-quality, step-by-step solutions with clear and rigorous reasoning
• Collaborate with LLM researchers to align problem types with evaluation goals, especially in areas where models typically struggle
• Contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on Biology curricula spanning early undergraduate to PhD-level topics
• Analyze and solve complex biological problems using a structured and logical approach
• Explain biology concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and simulations where needed
