Biomedical Technician I

BMET 1 is an entry level position for up to 2 years of practical experience, and is usually assigned responsibility for the general patient care equipment (GENMED) within the facility.

The BMET 1 is responsible for all scheduled maintenance and repair services assigned to them. Because of the close daily relationship and interaction with facility staff, BMET 1's must have excellent organizational and customer service skills. Close supervision is provided to ensure service quality is maintained and that continued development of the BMET 1's knowledge and skills are progressing.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Must exhibit self motivation and personal relation skills.
• While working with the managers, the BMET 1 is responsible for communicating work status along with any problems, scheduling issues and/or incomplete service activities that require management attention.
