Job Description

Johns Hopkins University is seeking a _Biosafety Cabinet Technician._ This is an entry-level position for individuals with mechanical aptitude who are interested in learning to perform certification and testing of biological safety cabinets, clean benches, and other HEPA-filtered equipment. The department will provide training to become a biosafety cabinet certifier, including support for attending courses and professional meetings, and will cover the cost of certification through NSF International.

This position reports to the Director of Biosafety and facilitates maintenance and certification programs for biosafety cabinets, laminar air flow cabinets, and portable HEPA filters as part of the functions of the Biosafety Office. Assists with biosafety-related matters as stipulated by the Biosafety Officer.
