We are seeking
an enthusiastic and versatile Laboratory Technician to join our technical support team in the School of Science and the Environment.Working primarily in the Biological Sciences subject areas you will provide technical support to our teaching and research laboratories.
Your role will mainly involve supporting laboratory practical sessions by preparing and setting out equipment and materials and working closely with students to explain and demonstrate experiments and how to use equipment. You will advise and support students with research projects, maintain prep rooms and research labs.
It is essential you have a degree in a biological science or related science subject. You will need to have excellent laboratory and chemical safety knowledge and the ability to prepare reagents and solutions for class practicals.
