Boiler Mechanic

**Summary:**



Seasonal Contract position supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). Boiler Mechanic will perform hands-on boiler operation tasks on maintenance or construction projects, or any combination thereof, under the supervision of the PM Foreman. Tasking is based on ASC schedule requirements.



**Position Responsibilities:**



+ Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on boiler systems: hydronic, hot water heaters, steam HVAC systems and associated equipment



+ Maintain boiler systems in accordance with provisions of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Boiler systems may include steam, hydronic, hot water heaters, along with other types of heating systems, pumps, forced air furnaces, air handlers
