Bookkeeper

Summary of the job:

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by monitoring store sales transactions, preparing reconciliations, and recording journal entries. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data across multiple store branches and bank accounts, supporting the Finance Department in the preparation of reliable reports. The Bookkeeper plays a key role in reconciling accounts, validating expenses, and maintaining the integrity of the company's books of accounts.

Job Description:

Administers and monitors the financial system and ensures that finances are maintained in accurate and timely manners such as:

• Records daily transactions with complete description of all journal entries.
• Ensures that all journal vouchers are properly supported with all required receipts, documents and signatures necessary to warrant validity of transactions.
• Regular updates of General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledgers
