JOB TITLE: Building Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Environmental Services
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Union, Temporary (12/31/2026 Contract)
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY: Museum-Based
SCHEDULE: Afternoons, 2:30pm-11:00pm. Off Sunday and Monday.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Manager, Environmental Services and the Supervisor, Environmental Services, the Building Attendant performs general cleaning and janitorial work, including cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, cleaning glass and removing rubbish and recycling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Sweep, vacuum, dust, and wet mop floors.
+ Operate various equipment used to clean floors and carpets, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, floor buffers, carpet shampooers and extractors, and oth...
