The Timaru District Council Building Consent Authority has an exciting opportunity for those of you who are wanting to join a successful and innovative regulatory team. We currently have a vacancy for a Building Control Officer (BCO) and are looking for regulatory professionals with the skills, passion, and desire to be part of a team renowned for its ability to continuously evolve and perform functions outside of the box. This recruitment is happening at an exciting time in our sector, against the backdrop of some of the most significant reforms since the implementation of the Building Act, many years ago.

The ideal candidate will have the necessary qualifications and be able to demonstrate the technical competencies for the role. The person will be a competent communicator, know their way around digital tools and thrive in a team environment that enjoys plenty of office banter.
