Building Systems Designer Technologist

Join the talented team at EastPoint in Halifax as a Building Systems Designer Technologist. This role focuses on mechanical building systems design and site delivery.
As part of your duties, you will report directly to the Mechanical Engineering Director and focus on developing HVAC systems and plumbing layouts. Your involvement includes detailed design, field investigations, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams. Ideal candidates are adaptive, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Conduct engineering calculations for various building systems
• Develop and coordinate design drawings with software tools
• Engage in field reviews and construction document prep
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and standards
Requirements:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology required
• 2–10 years of relevant experience in system design
