***This position performs a variety of activities of procurement planning, negotiation and follow up activities to provide a variety of commodities in support of the planning process and manufacturing.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Manage and develop suppliers to ensure optimal quality and delivery.
- Develop, maintain and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Support engineering, production and quality on any changes or projects related to raw material or MRO purchases.
- Using problem solving tools (5W, A3, VSM, Kaizen Etc.) to solve specific problems related to supplier deliveries and cost.
- Procure material in accordance with BOM and Jobs related to specific projects.
- Ensure system key parameters are maintained (price, lead times, MOQ, primary supplier) to improve supplier and customer on time delivery, minimize inventory levels as well as shortages.
- Conduct supplier visit as required and participate on the qualification of quality system audits.
