Job Description

The Buyer will manage and execute the processes for the acquisition of raw materials, based on a forecast and customer demand while maintaining an optimal inventory level.

What you will do:
Transfer and implementation of functions according to the position needs between different manufacturing locations

Provide a communication link between sales demand and production

Participate in a daily meeting with the operations group outlining the schedule and special activities expected on that day

Prioritize activities for the operations group when schedule conflicts arise and notify sales of the impact on customer expectations

Ensure upcoming needs are visible and reviewable by the rest of the organization

Enter Purchase Orders received from Sales into the production schedule

Provide lead times back to Planning on entered Purchase Orders
