By-Law Enforcement and Safety Officer

Engage with the community as a By-Law Enforcement and Safety Officer. Enforce municipal regulations, conduct inspections, and promote safety through proactive measures in your jurisdiction.
Reporting to the Sergeant, you will be responsible for upholding community standards by enforcing by-laws and relevant laws. Duties include investigations and representing the municipality in court. By actively engaging with the community, you will enhance public awareness and cultivate a safer environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce municipal by-laws effectively
• Conduct thorough inspections and interviews
• Represent the municipality in legal proceedings
• Lay charges for municipal by-law violations
• Engage proactively with the community
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent level of education
• 1–3 years’ experience in enforcement roles
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required
