Cad designer – sheet metal & electrical enclosures

A specialist manufacturer in the electrical infrastructure sector is seeking a CAD Designer with strong exposure to sheet metal fabrication and enclosure design. This role supports the full design lifecycle, translating engineering and client requirements into manufacturable drawings aligned to fabrication and assembly processes. You will develop and optimise CAD modelling strategies across Inventor, Auto CAD, Solid Works, and Sheetworks, ensuring seamless integration between design, quoting, and production. A strong understanding of electrical enclosures, switchgear configurations, and fabrication constraints is essential. You will work closely with engineers, production teams, and contractors to deliver accurate, functional designs for CNC cutting, bending, punching, and assembly.
