Cadet Estimator/Estimator

The Estimator has the responsibility for the specific function:

• Estimating Bid cost for the client, contract and assisting the Estimating Manager
• Estimating change order cost for the client and assisting Section Manager / Estimating Manager / Project Manager / Team Leads.

Core Responsibilities

Estimating Submissions

• To conduct the estimating and submission process to win new jobs for DBM Vircon.

• To conduct the estimating function as follows:

• Review Drawings for piece counts, breaking into submittal groups, tonnage rate, scope, exclusions, secondary items (i.e. bent plates, deck supports, hangers etc. and enter into the bid system), review addendum drawings and documents, price alternatives as instructed in tender invitations.

• Ensure and check an email is sent 1 day before the bid date. Check the DBM Vircon piece count against the client.
