Job Description
Calibration Technician II is a mid-level position. These technicians will have the ability to calibrate higher-level equipment and calibrate equipment across a minimum of three disciplines (or have an expert level of knowledge/calibration experience in one to two disciplines).
Major Areas of Responsibility + Perform their own calibration work with little to no supervision + Conduct their own research when necessary + Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager + Able to conduct calibration work at customer on-sites with little to no direction + Work with lab support staff + Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques + Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made + Be able to read and interpret labs’ scopes of accreditation + Maintain calibration standards + Must be able to perform these functions within a laboratory or customer onsite setting + Must be able to travel approximately 50% of work schedule Primary Ob...
