Cardiovascular Technologist — Fraser Health Authority. Casual role at Royal Columbian Hospital , located in New Westminster, BC . Salary: CAD $36.61 - $45.73 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for procedure by applying electrodes and shave prep if necessary.
• Gathers patient information/history from patient and Meditech EMR, MUSE and the provincial Cardiac Registry (HeartIS); enters orders in Meditech; prepares information for the patient chart.
• Sets up, calibrates, monitors and analyzes the patient’s ECG & hemodynamics during the various procedures; conveys vital information and any changes to the physician.
• Enters data and prepares reports, with analysis of recorded hemodynamics including ejection fraction, coronary disease, resistances and calculation of valve gradient and area.
