So, what’s the job really about

Picture this. You pop in to help Mrs Smith start her morning. You support her out of bed, help her choose something nice to wear, then sit down together for a cuppa and a chat while she enjoys her breakfast. Later, you may visit Mr Jones to help him with his medication, support him with a refreshing shower, and make sure he has a hot, nutritious meal ready. There could be a light tidy around the house, or even a trip to the shops for a bit of fresh air and company.

No two days are ever the same, and that’s what makes this role so special.

But it’s about so much more than practical support. You become a familiar face, a trusted companion, someone your clients genuinely look forward to seeing. You listen, you laugh together, and you help people feel safe, valued and confident in their own homes, supporting them to stay independent for as long as possible.
