As the last point of contact with customers, it is the cashier's responsibility to ensure that the customer has had a positive experience, found everything they were looking for, and leaves the store with a smile. The cashier handles the payment process and balances the cash register. Finally, they ensure that their workstation is clean.
RESPONSABILITIES
Health, safety, and food hygiene:
Follow the store's dress code and personal hygiene rules;
Follow safety standards and wear personal protective equipment when needed;
Follow food safety procedures according to department requirements;
Greet customers at the register;
Advise and answer customer questions;
Provide exemplary customer service;
Ask customers if they found everything they were looking for; if not, ask a clerk or cashier assistant to fetch the product;
Ensure there are no products under the basket;
