Job Description
- Receive and check float at the start of the day.
- Process purchases and collect payments (cash, card, vouchers).
- Ensure all items are scanned correctly and prices verified on screen.
- Issue accurate receipts and ensure sales correspond with card totals.
- Balance the cash register and complete daily cash-up at end of shift.
- Handle cash safely and provide correct change to customers.
- Deliver friendly, professional service—greeting, thanking, and maintaining eye contact with customers.
- Update product knowledge and inform customers of promotions to drive sales.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe workstation.
- Apply food safety standards in line with company procedures.
- Assist with stock take, transaction records, and reconciliations.
