Summary

• The Centre Assistant is crucial in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment at Stonecroft Nursery. This role supports staff and children by performing domestic, cleaning, kitchen, and general childcare assistance duties. The position directly contributes to the welfare, safety, and daily operations of the nursery.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum carpets and clean floors, work surfaces, toys, furniture, and window shelves.
• Empty waste bins, mop spillages, and wash floors as needed.
• Clean toilets, basins, fixtures, potties, and maintain hygiene supplies.
• Clean sinks and maintain domestic equipment, reporting defects promptly.
• Check stock of cleaning materials and store equipment safely after use.
• Report any health and safety hazards to the Nursery Manager.
