Casual Theatre Technician

TITLE: THEATRE TECHNICIAN (Casual) - HoursDEPARTMENT: Vanier Hall REPORTS TO: Principal, Prince George Secondary School or designate SUMMARY: With minimal direction the Theatre Technician assumes responsibility for the technical management of events in Vanier Hall. DUTIES: Represents the school/school district at events in Vanier Hall. Communicates with venue users regarding specific requirements. Sets up and controls distribution of tools, gaffer tape, cables, microphones, lights, gels and extension cords. Ensures proper use and security of tools; gaffer tape, cables, microphones, lights, gels and extension cords. Ensures proper safety procedures are followed when using the hydraulic lift portion of the stage and other equipment. Oversees set-up of light and sound equipment for user groups.
