Catering Assistant

Care Network Ireland are seeking a reliable and motivated Catering Assistant to join the catering team within an acute hospital setting in Kilkenny city. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, delivery, and service of meals to patients while ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety, and patient care are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and portioning under supervision.
• Serve meals and beverages to patients in accordance with dietary requirements.
• Deliver and collect food trolleys and trays from wards.
• Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain infection control and food safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, staff, and colleagues.
• Follow all relevant health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
