Duties and Responsibilities of a CCTV Operator (with Technical Knowledge)Surveillance & Monitoring

• Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to ensure safety and security of premises.
• Identify, observe, and report suspicious activities, security breaches, or policy violations in real time.
• Maintain focus on high-risk areas and follow established surveillance protocols.
• Operate PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras efficiently to capture clear and relevant footage.

Incident Handling & Reporting

• Accurately document incidents, unusual activities, and security events in incident reports.
• Coordinate with security personnel, supervisors, and law enforcement when necessary.
• Retrieve, review, and export recorded footage for investigations, audits, or legal purposes.
• Preserve video evidence following proper chain-of-custody procedures.
