Monitors the requisition of the goods and services of the company, draws a comparison between the vendor prices, and purchases goods for one or more product groups.

Job Requirements

• Ensuring that proper inventories are maintained. Seeking the highest value tradeoff between cost and quality.
• Choosing the suppliers of the products, negotiating the lowest price, and awarding contracts based on established guidelines and procedures.
• Keeping abreast of changes in the market affecting both the supply of and demand for needed products.
• Studying sales records and inventory levels of current stock; seeking new, alternative foreign and domestic suppliers.

What your background should look like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level...
