Overview

Join Ko Taku Reo in the Central region as a Regional Leader. Oversee an agile team and provide essential support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across New Zealand.

This full-time, fixed-term position is integral to the Leadership Team at Ko Taku Reo Outreach School. You will lead Resource Teachers of the Deaf who work directly with 197 students and indirectly with 653 more, supporting their education from ages 3 to 21. The ideal candidate is a future-focused teacher/school leader and has significant experience with culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor six distributed teaching teams
• Ensure quality education for 850 DHH students
• Implement and evaluate evidence-based practices
• Align teaching with the New Zealand Curriculum
• Report directly to the Head of Regional Outreach Services
