Certification Engineer - Wiring Devices

+ Handling certification projects for products belonging to Wiring Devices segment (e.g., Connectors, Terminal Blocks, Cable Trays, Conduits , etc.). Follows up on contacts from clients.
+ Examines samples for compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications.

+ Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation.

+ Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.

+ Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.

+ Assists in resolving engineering issues related to safety, quality, capability, capacity, speed or cost. Learns to analyze and report on the acceptability of the variations.

+ Preparing datasheets, test instructions, and descriptive reports.
