Position Summary:

The professional coder functions under the direction of the Tenet Regional Coding Director. The professional coder is responsible for assignment of medical coding by abstracting and review of the medical documentation according to Tenet Physician Resources coding guidelines, payer guidance and policies along with governmental regulations pertaining to coding and documentation. The professional coder is expected to provide quality review and analysis of the medical documentation to ensure accuracy of coding.
