Job Summary

The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)-II is an advanced practice nurse who provides full scope midwifery care. The CNM/NP provides care to the patient which is delivered during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. The CNM also provides care to the gynecologic patient in the clinic/office setting. High risk patients are cared for in consultation and collaboration with the medical team. The practice setting for the CNM-II will be in the Outpatient Clinic, contractually with Obstetrician's offices, the Natural Birth Center, the Family Birth Center Triage and LDRs and the Post Partum unit with the focus on enhancement of clinical care, patient satisfaction, and safety. Clinical care may include first assisting in OB surgical cases.
