A mission-driven nonprofit organization in Los Angeles is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on a contract-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit standards Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models Nonprofit Compliance & Fund Accounting Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, grant requirements, and donor restrictions Oversee fund accounting, including tracking restricted and unrestricted funds Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors Grants & Funding Oversight Partner with program and development teams to manage grant budgets and reporting Monitor funding sources, cash flow, and financial health across programs Support fundraising efforts with financial data and insights Operational & Team Leadership B...
