The Trades I is responsible to provide a healthy, clean, safe environment by performing skilled manual work in the maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment. This position exercises independent judgement in the planning, coordination and maintenance of grounds activities and works as a lead on many enhancements including playground installation and landscape improvement projects. Other general labour tasks, including hauling material, and trades assistance are part of this position's responsibilities. This role includes the operation of a variety of hand and power tools, including equipment and vehicles used in construction and maintenance.
