The GEF STAP's Mandate is to provide objective, strategic scientific and technical advice on GEF policies, operational strategies, programs, and projects. The Chairperson shall act as the primary spokesperson for STAP in meetings and may assign members to represent the Panel as needed. The Chair's overall responsibilities include providing strategic guidance, operational advice, and expert input on scientific and technical matters for monitoring and evaluation.
