Overview

The Federal Bridge Corporation Limited is a Crown corporation responsible for the oversight of Canadian federal interests in four international toll bridges that connect Ontario to the United States: Blue Water Bridge (Point Edward); Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge (Sault Ste. Marie); Seaway International Bridge (Cornwall); Thousand Islands International Bridge (Lansdowne).

Its mandate is to provide stewardship of international bridges and associated structures to ensure their safety and efficiency. The corporation owns the Canadian portion of the four international bridges in its portfolio, including bridge plazas and related facilities, and oversees their operations. It also administers international agreements associated with the bridges, directs bridge engineering and inspection duties, and oversees bridge capital investment projects.
