Job Description
Work with the Municipality of Chatham-Kent as a temporary full-time Auto Service Technician. Contribute your skills in vehicle maintenance and repairs across the municipal fleet.
This position requires a technician who can diagnose, service, and inspect various types of vehicles, ensuring all work meets safety and repair standards. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in automotive repair, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Work both indoors and outdoors and be prepared for emergency roadside inspections as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect and repair municipal vehicles and equipment
• Conduct MTO inspections and ensure safe operation
• Utilize technical manuals and diagrams for repairs
• Keep detailed records of repairs and maintenance
• Train and guide apprentices in auto service
Requirements:
• Class DZ Ontario driver’s license is mandatory
• Possession of 310S and 310T licenses
