Chemistry Analyst

INTRODUCTION:
Microchem Specialized Lab Services is seeking to recruit 2x Chemistry Analysts who will be based at our laboratory in Stikland Industria, Bellville, Cape Town. The incumbent is responsible for the analysis of food samples and performs general responsibilities in the laboratory to ensure best laboratory practices is maintained.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thorough understanding of the principles of Chemistry.
Perform chemical analysis using standard testing protocols.
Ability to follow procedures precisely.
Individuals must be conversant with QA/QC and standard operating procedures.
Individuals must be conversant with ISO 17025 requirements.
Being able to assess and interpret analytical results.
Thorough understanding of the properties of dangerous chemicals and safe handling.
