Chief Accountant

Job Summary:

The Chief Accountant will oversee the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations in Uganda, and effective management of financial resources. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and in-depth knowledge of Ugandan accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and fixed assets & revenues.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ugandan Financial Reporting Standards (UFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) where applicable.
• Prepare monthly Group reporting packages for corporate office reporting.
